My name is Laura and I am 29 years old. I am originally from Birmingham but now I live by the sea in Worthing with my partner. I am an intelligent, creative person. I have a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature from Oxford University and am currently working on the draft of a novel.
I have been a private tutor for over three years now. During that time, my students have ranged from 13-21 years old, and I have taught general spelling and reading skills, GCSE English Language and Literature (AQA and OCR exam boards), the AQA AS/A2 course for both English Lang and Lit, and degree level English literature.
I am friendly, patient and passionate about my subject. I listen to my tutees and strive to create sessions that are tailored to the needs of that particular individual. My approach to tutoring is supportive, enthusiastic and thorough. I aim to build confidence as well as increase knowledge and understanding. Furthermore, I hope to inspire in my students an approach to learning that will stand them in good stead not only for their examinations, but also for the future.
Aside from writing, I love reading books, photography and watching films. I also like working with people, which is one of the (many) reasons why I enjoy tutoring. I am fully CRB checked and available immediately.
